Masonic glasses first appeared in Holmegaard's catalogue in 1853.

Masonic glasses are also called Rakkerglas due to the tradition of rakking with them. To rakk is to bang the glass on the table after a finished toast. This was a tradition in inns, taverns and similar places in the 19th century. Most often the glass broke and the foot broke off.

    Nice condition.
