Beautiful chandelier from the 1890s with golden frame

A highly unusual chandelier from the late 19th century featuring a gilded frame.

The chandelier has a "floating" base, suspended by three internal metal chains. The base consists of a glass bowl densely studded with clear glass drops and finished with large, cut-glass icicles along the rim. Its chains feature faceted oval prisms—a type we have never before seen used on a chandelier. The top section is adorned with cut beads on thick metal wire and hung with cut-glass icicles, culminating in a gilded finial.

It has four internal sockets: three facing downwards and one facing upwards.

It has been restored, rewired, and had damaged components replaced with original antique parts. One of the oval prisms has a small chip, as we have been unable to find a replacement.
