Tenera & Baca
Depending on the technique, silk printing decorations on faience is called either Tenera or Baca.
When artistic director for Aluminia Nils Thorsson launched the Tenera-series in 1958, six nordic artist-craftsmen were asked to design the motifs.
They were all female and named Beth Breyen, Berte Jessen, Grete Helland-Hansen, Kari Christensen, Inge-Lise Kofoed and Marianne Johnson.
Later on the production was taken over by Royal Copenhagen.
