WMF Ikora vase from the 1930s - Karl Wiedmann
Height 31 cm.
Beautiful greenish vase from German WMF, Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik.
WMF began producing glass as early as 1883, but it was not until the 1920s that they achieved great success with it. Their original glassworks were destroyed during World War I, but a more modern one was built in 1922.
The Ikora technique is the second technique WMF developed in 1926 and the technique was discontinued in 1936. It was briefly revived after the war, but never achieved the same expression as before.
This vase was designed by Karl Wiedmann and has green and reddish nuances.
It is in perfect condition.
