Height 11 cm. Width 9.5 cm. Depth 7 cm.
A lovely small chest or casket designed to hold two small perfume bottles, dating from the late 19th century.
It is finished using a special technique—faux graining—intended to imitate a more expensive wood; in this case, rosewood.
The casket features exquisite details, including brass studs, fine white moldings, and a Greek key border. The interior is lined with royal blue velvet and has compartments for two bottles.
It is in good condition, though there are chips on one of the stoppers and around the keyhole.
