Twist was first produced at Aalborg Glasværk in the 1890s and later at Holmegaard in a redesigned version from 1955. This glass is from the early production. The glass is manganese colored, which is due to an oversaturation of manganese, which was added to prevent the glass from turning gray. The series is also called Amager.
