Extremely fine italien platter

Diameter 20.5 cm. Italian plate from the middle of the 19th century, decorated with gold and motif in overglaze. The plate is decorated with a chestnut seller in the marketplace in the process of selling to a couple with an ox, next to the seller's stand sits a child. The fane is decorated with gold, in which there are polished flowers and leaves in line. The quality of the painting is extremely high - it is rare we have seen this quality. It is signed on the back "Castagnaso" as well as a few pressed numbers. The plate originates from a private Danish collection of 18th and 19th century porcelain. Item number: 6363
