Super nice Italian plate

Diameter 20.5 cm.

Italian plate from the mid-19th century, decorated with gold and motifs in overglaze. The plate is decorated with a chestnut seller in the marketplace selling to a couple with an ox, next to the seller's stand sits a child. The banner is decorated with gold, in which there are polished flowers and leaves in a sequence. The quality of the painting is extremely high - it is rare that we have seen this quality. It is signed on the back "Castagnaso" as well as a few impressed numbers. The plate comes from a private Danish collection of 18th and 19th century porcelain.
