Large Astrid drinking glass

Height 14.5 cm. Diameter 9 cm.

We have never seen such large Astrid glasses before. Astrid was designed by Jacob E. Bang in 1934 for Holmegaard Glasværk and was discontinued in 1969. The glass is mouth-blown crystal glass and has hand-cut long facets that run from the foot and up along the stem for a cuppa. The series ranges from red wine glasses in two sizes to schnapps glasses, soda glasses and champagne flutes.
