Rare tulip glass from Holmegaard
Height 9.5 cm.
Tulip glasses are first seen in Holmegaard Glasværk's catalog from 1867 and where they are offered for the last time in the catalog from 1915. They are offered in at least six colors and with gilded decoration, which were offered at double the price, which are very rare today. This glass is emerald green and painted with gold vine leaves and gold lines. The glass is mouth blown and has a spherical mark underneath, but with remnants of its sharp crack.
The glass has had part of the foot broken off, but this has been glued back on. It has some wear on the gold edge on the top.
