Porter glass from Holmegaard Glasværk

Height 16.5 cm.

Beautiful porter glass or beer glass from Holmegaard Glassworks from the beginning of the 1900s. The glass is mouth-blown with a clear rim and rounded at the bottom. The model appears in the glassworks' catalog from 1900 as No. 122.

However, it has not been offered in an official catalogue with this type of decoration, a guilloche, as this technique was discontinued in 1910. In the book "Danské glas 1825-1925" the glass is shown together with 2 others of the same type, of which this decoration appears on one of the glasses. This glass is engraved "1903", it must therefore be thought that this decoration is from 1903.

The glasses are in good condition, without defects.
