Cheese shovel from 1842
Length 17.5 cm.
It is stamped De tre Tårne 42 for the year 1842, PRH for Peter R Hinnerup who was the city guard from 1840 to 1863, a lion for being produced in the sign of the lion, 22/7-21/8 and a slightly illegible maker's mark. Unfortunately we cannot identify it.
The spade has a double fluted handle ending in a clam. The spade itself is slightly sharp at the front so that it can cut the cheese. It is decorated with curved ornaments and a cow and a bull on a dotted background. It is needle punched on the back with the year 1846.
The cheese spatula is in very good condition.
