Niepce port wine glass from Saint Louis

Height 13.5 cm. Niepce is unusually nicely decorated with a large star underneath, long facets on the stem and a myriad of cuts on the cuppa itself. The series is made in Saint-Louis from the 1930s and is today out of production. Saint-Louis is France's oldest glassworks from 1586. Saint-Louis was the first glassworks in Europe to produce crystal glass, this happened in 1781. The glasses are in perfect condition Item number: 8086
