Mitra large dinner spoon from Georg Jensen

    Length 20.6 cm.

Mitra was designed by Gundorph Albertus, Georg Jensen's brother-in-law, in 1941. Silver was in short supply during World War II, so the cutlery was made in steel, as Georg Jensen's first item. There have been close to 100 different parts in the production of this cutlery. The handle of the cutlery has the shape of a Catholic bishop's mitre, hence the name.

    Good condition.
