Lamp by Peter Tereszczuk, two children under mushroom
Height 31 cm. The lamp is in very good condition. There is age-related patina on the children's faces. It is wired with a new wire. Peter Tereszczuk was an Austrian-Ukrainian sculptor known for his art nouveau figures in bronze. His sculptures of boys and girls were often decorated with leg faces. This softer material made the expression bigger. Peter Tereszczuk was born in 1875 in Wybudow, Ukraine, studied woodcarving at the School of Arts and Crafts in Vienna with Hermann Klotz as a teacher. The majority of his work was done between 1895 and 1925 in Vienna. Tereszczuk died in 1963 in Vienna, Austria.
