Lamp by Peter Tereszczuk, two children under mushroom

The lamp is in very good condition. There is age-related patina on the children's faces. It is wired with a new cord.

Peter Tereszczuk was an Austrian-Ukrainian sculptor known for his Art Nouveau bronze figures. His sculptures of boys and girls were often decorated with bone faces. This softer material made the expression greater.

Peter Tereszczuk was born in 1875 in Wybudow, Ukraine, studied woodcarving at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts under Hermann Klotz. The majority of his work was done between 1895 and 1925 in Vienna. Tereszczuk died in 1963 in Vienna, Austria.
