SKU:11809
Height 13 cm.
Christian d. 8 was produced at the larger Danish glassworks, Holmegaard, Kastrup and Fyens Glasværk from the middle of the 1800s until the 1940s, where it was taken out of production. It's also made in a smooth version, called Berlinois. This glass has also been manufactured at Holmegaard, Kastrup and Fyens Glasværk.
Christian d. 8 is one of the largest Danish glassware lines - it contains 18 different sizes, from large porter glass to rare snaps flutes.
Today, it is impossible to tell the different glassworks' glass from each other.
It is named after the last monarchy of Denmark, Christian d. 8, who ruled from 1839 to 1848, when Denmark passed from an absolute power to being a democracy.
