Fulvio Bianconi (1915-1996) was an Italian designer and artist. As a child, Fulvio showed great talent for drawing and was employed at the Madonna dell'Orto church in Venice as a draftsman, strongly encouraged by his mother who saw the advertisement in the local newspaper and reportedly exclaimed "It is my son Fulvio you are looking for." Here he received a scholarship to the Scuola d'arte dei Carmini, the Carmini art academy, and worked as an apprentice under Michele Pinto on the glass island of Murano. In 1933, he was employed as a graphic designer by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore, Italy's largest publisher.

He remained in the graphic industry through the 1930s. After World War II he became associated with Paolo Venini's glassworks on a freelance basis. This was done by designing a series of perfume bottles which he sent unsolicited to Paolo Venini. Fulvio Bianconi remained associated with Venini for the rest of his career.
