Ice flower decanter for Kastrup Glasværk

Height 21 cm.

Carafe with pinched sides from Kastrup Glasværk. It is marked at the bottom with a shield that says KG and the text 75 cl.

Ice flower is made in a very special way, which Jacob Bang got inspiration for from Sweden. There, experiments were done with applying wood glue to the glass and letting it dry on heating pipes, which resulted in a "crushed" surface when the glue peeled off and took the outer layer of the glass with it.

The carafe must be considered a fake as it has a pinch on the neck.
