Hornblæser stage by Christel and Christer Holmgren

The candlesticks were designed for and produced by Illums Bolighus in the 1960s. They are stamped "Made in Denmark - Pat. Pending".

The Hornblower candle holder is made of solid cast iron and has space for six candles. It is also produced in a version with space for three candles - this is stackable, like the Nagel candle holders.

The candle holder has lacquered "feet" so it won't scratch a wooden table. It is possible to put regular candlesticks in it or long candlesticks/flower sticks or candles.

Christel and Christer Holmgren Exner are a Swedish/Austrian design couple who settled in Denmark in the 1960s. The couple have designed, among other things, Blå Time and Rosaline for Holmegaard, melamine kitchen utensils for Rosti, steel for Lundtofte and much more.

They are original from the 1960s.
