Amager shot glass, 22 cm.
Height 22 cm.
Amager was designed by Jacob E. Bang in 1955 for Kastrup Glassworks. The design is based on a porter glass manufactured at both Holmegaard and Aalborg Glassworks from the 1890s.
This glass is part of the full service as a goblet. The other glasses differ from this one in being tulip-shaped, whereas this goblet is more cylindrical. In 1966, full production was transferred to Holmegaard Glasværk.
The glass was discontinued during the 1980s. The cup and the tall schnapps glasses are all original shapes from the 1890s service. Amager is also called Amager Twist or simply Twist.
