Nice picture frame in ebony from the end of the 19th century

The picture frame is cut from solid ebony and with a highly decorative support, also in ebony.

Ebony is a hard and slow-growing type of wood. Its completely black color has made the wood preferred for marquetry and other types of inlays in furniture and, for example, handles.

The picture must be placed behind the glass and mounted with a piece of cardboard behind it, secured with frame tape. The leg is loose, but can easily be glued.
