Berlinois red wine glass with optics
Height 15.5 cm.
Unusual Berlinois glass with optical stripes in the cuppa.
We have never seen this before. The glass is mouth-blown with a sand nail at the bottom and dates from the late 19th century.
Berlinois was produced at the larger Danish glassworks, Holmegaard, Kastrup and Fyens Glasværk from the late 19th century until the 1940s, when it was discontinued.
Today it is impossible to distinguish the glass from one glassworks to another.
It is in perfect condition.
