Anton Michelsen marguerite finger ring
Ring size 60.
It is in perfect condition.
Originally the Marguerite was produced in blue, yellow, red, white and green.
When the brooch was designed in 1940, the white model quickly became the most popular. It is the only color out of the five that is still produced today. After World War II, the brooch became a symbol of the desire for better times. The marguerite has great symbolic value for the Danish and Swedish royal houses, due to Queen Margrethe's grandmother, Crown Princess Margaretha of Sweden. The crown princess was also called Daisy and at Queen Ingrid's wedding in 1935 to King Frederik d.9 she was presented with a bejeweled marguerite in memory of her mother. Queen Margrethe wore it as the obligatory borrowed item at her wedding in 1967.
