Green hyacinth glass with folded rigel from Holmegaard Glasværk

Height 21 cm. Beautiful emerald green hyacinth glass with a folded rim from Holmegaard Glasværk. The model can be seen in the glassworks' catalog from 1853 and appears in subsequent catalogs in a slightly changing form until 1934, when all mouth-blown hyacinth glass are taken out of productions. It has finely turned optics and a cracked pontil. The glass is in very good condition with some mechanical surface wear where the flower bulb should lie. Item number: 9779
