Niels Erik From founded his silversmith's shop at the age of just 23 in 1931. It wasn't until 1944 that he started stamping his jewelry with his own name. From is particularly known for his art nouveau silver jewelry. These are often set with semi-precious stones or amber.

In the 1950s, From began producing more modern jewelry, like this bracelet, in a more functionalist style. After successfully selling jewelry designed by other artists in the 1970s and 1980s, Niels Erik From's workshop closed in 1990.

The brooch is in good condition with a mark on the side.
