The blue painted is one of Bing & Grøndahl's oldest sets, painted in the scale shape that both the Empire and Måge sets are painted in, from 1895. The blue painted is Bing & Grøndahl's version of the blue-fluted set.

The tureen is in good condition with a small chip on the handle.
