Sevres cup - Chateau De Fountain

Height 5.8 cm. Diameter of saucer 13 cm. The cup is signed Chateau De F. Bleau Sevres 1844 SvPP 40. Beautifully decorated cylinder cup from French Sevres with enormous details. It is decorated with squirrels crawling around in the purple tangles. The cup has fine gold edges, where there is a flaw on the edge, looks like something from production as there is gold down in the flaw. In an oval cartouche, it is decorated with a pineapple on a red background. A pineapple was considered an extreme luxury in periods of the 18th and 19th centuries. The saucer has the initials IP and the same fine decoration as the cup. This one is in perfect condition. Item number: 13098
