The cups are with relief of waterlilies, on both cup and saucer.
The cups were designed by Pietro Krohn shortly after "Hejrestellet"(The Heron service) was designed for the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889. This was designed in the years 1885-1889, after Pietro Krohn was inspired by the art historian Karl Madsen's work "Japanese Painting".
There is a glued handle and two saucers with chips. Natural wear on the gold edges of the cups.
