1st sorting. It has a little thick glaze down in the salt cellar itself.
Royal Copenhagen begins producing the Musselmalet as frame no. 1 in 1775 and is in continuous production. The motif is a stylized version of the classic Chinese flower painting, which is several thousand years old.
During the 2000s, Royal Copenhagen made an "Accessories" line of the mussel painted with a simpler decoration. This salt cellar is from this line.
