Aalborg Glassworks was founded in 1852 as a subsidiary of Conradsminde Glassworks, specifically for bottle production. In 1866, following the closure of Mylenberg Glassworks in 1864, Aalborg took over the production of white glass, along with several of Mylenberg's glassmakers.

The production included drinking glasses and decanters decorated with cut and engraved motifs. A price list from 1859 shows the range of products from Mylenberg and Aalborg Glassworks, while an illustrated catalog from around 1880, featuring 226 items, reflects the range produced by the two older glassworks.

In 1908, Kastrup Glassworks acquired all the shares in Aalborg Glassworks. White glass production ceased in 1910, while bottle manufacturing continued on a limited scale until the glassworks finally closed in 1922.

The glass is decorated with one of Aalborg's least-known cutting patterns, "Vine Leaves, Fingered Type", consisting of 15 pointed, upward-facing leaves between bunches of grapes, each containing 10 grapes, with mirrored threads above and below the grapes.

Good condition, with no defects, apart from a couple of air bubbles.
