Margrethe is Denmark's first glass with a design name to it. The glass was designed in the years 1905-1906 by Svend Hammershøi.

Glass produced before Margrethe was considered as "just a glass" and the designer behind was not that important.

The glass was in production, at Holmegaard from 1906 to 1960 and is available in two versions, with and without a cut stem.
