A set of rare Aluminia plates from 1938
Diameter 8.3 cm.
Marked A for Aluminia Denmark.
The back has the text "Fayance Fabrica Real de Porcelana Copenhaque 1938"
At Brazil's 100th anniversary of independence in 1922, a large exhibition was held, the World's Fair, for which Aluminia produced a number of items with motifs from Brazil. In the same style there is a 2010 plate with a motif of a beach, this one is marked with the year 1939.
Why these two plates were made and are with the year 1938, we can't really figure out. One has the Danish text "Glædelig Jul", while the other is without.
They are in perfect condition and are only sold together.
