    In Denmark, inches, feet and cubits are used as official units of measurement until 1907, when the meter system is introduced. The cubit system has been in use in most of Europe, but there was no international standard for what a cubit was. It fluctuated from country to country and even within the country's borders it could fluctuate. In Denmark, a Zealand cubit and a Jutish cubit were used.
