Capella is issued in an average assortment at the request of Gertrud Vasegaard. Capella was designed by Gertrud Vasegaard in 1975 for Royal Copenhagen. The factory celebrated its 200th anniversary this year and therefore launched Capella as its anniversary set. It consists of a minimum number of parts, as all are multifunctional. The saucer does not have a recess for the cup itself, as this is also the cake plate. The lid of the saucer is a bowl in itself and the same goes for the lid of the terrine. The set is made of a rustic stoneware mass that gives Capella the unique expression with iron stains and nuances that Gertrud Vasegaard was after.
