Capella was designed by Gertrud Vasegaard in 1975, to celebrate Royal Copenhagen's 200th anniversary. The frame is one of three frames she designed for Royal Copenhagen, of which this is the rarest.
It consisted of only 14 parts, as all parts were intended to be mullet functional. The cup was for both coffee and tea and its saucer served as a cake plate. The lid of the dish served as a bowl and the frame only has four plate sizes.
Capella is sent out in an average sorting, at Gertrud Vasegaard's request, as part of the frame's charm and character is its differences in mass, which is more reminiscent of stoneware than porcelain.
The bowl is in perfect condition.
