Niels Erik From founded the silversmith's shop at the age of just 23 in 1931. It was not until 1944 that he began to stamp his jewelery with his own name.
From is particularly known for its beautiful, art nouveau jewelery in silver. These are often filled with half-eaten stone or amber. In the 1950s, From begins to produce more modern jewellery, in a more functionalist style.
After having, with great success, sold jewelery designed by other artists in the 1970-1980s, Niels Erik From's workshop closes in 1990.
