Produktinformation
Beskrivelse
Height 12 cm.
Masonic glasses first appeared in Holmegaard's catalogue in 1853. After 1900 they were no longer part of the catalogue. This glass has a bent foot, which is attributed to being glass made at Conradsminde.
Masonic glasses are also called Rakkerglas, due to the tradition of rakking with them. Raking is the act of banging the glass on the table after a finished toast. This was a tradition in inns, pubs and similar places in the 19th century. Most often the glass broke and the foot broke off. Despite their great prevalence in the past, Masonic glasses are therefore rare today.
The glass is in good condition.
