Hansen who was a blue painter from 1803 to 1862 with a short break in 1812-1815.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e The very gray porcelain is due to delivery difficulties of kaolin from France, due to the Napoleonic Wars that raged in Europe from 1803 to 1815.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e During this period, Royal Copenhagen had to use kaolin from Bornholm, which was not nearly as pure as the French. This period is referred to as the \"2nd Bornholm period\".\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp\u003eThe first was at the beginning of the factory's life. After 1815, the factory was able to purify the Bornholm kaolin sufficiently to be able to use it instead of the French kaolin that they were offered in 1817.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e The saucepan must therefore date from the period 1815, when Hansen was rehired, to a very short time after which the factory achieved satisfactory results in purifying kaolin.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e The bottom has 4 chips on the inner edge.
